About me

I’m an artist based in Vancouver, British Columbia, originally from Iceland. Since 2008 I’ve been working as a matte painter and generalist in VFX industry for film and TV. In my spare time, I love to draw, paint, and simply to create.

My inspiration comes from many sources. I love nature and the abundance of different creatures we share the planet with, which provides an endless resource of references. 2D hand drawn animation always been dear to my heart ever since I can remember, and I’ve always been fascinated by the old school traditional style of illustration work.

Animals, creature designs, animation and fantasy in general are pretty much my favorite subjects to draw, but honestly I just love the creative process of seeing something come to life on the page (or screen) in front of me.

This website is less of a professional portfolio and more of a collection (junk heap?) showing my recent work.
